Bring the wonders of the Perot Museum to your school! Perot Museum educators will come right to you with all the supplies and know-how needed to engage your students in exciting and educational programming. See below for information on reservation requests, pricing, program offerings, and more.

Requests
Request forms must be submitted at least 30 days in advance of your desired visit date to be considered for a reservation.
Schedule
Campus outreach requests for the 2024-2025 school year are available August 19 – May 23, Monday-Friday.

Financial Aid
Through generous support from our philanthropic community, the Museum provides financial aid to Title I schools for field trips and outreach programming. Title I schools, as defined by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), serve a student body that is determined to be economically disadvantaged or offer a “targeted assistance program” for at-risk students.
New this year — Title 1 schools may apply for funding to cover outreach programs taking place between the dates of August 19, 2024, and May 23, 2025. If approved, a financial aid award will cover outreach program fees (additional travel fees are not included).

Interactive auditorium experiences for large groups.

SUITING UP FOR SPACE (NEW! Available starting October 2024)
Pack your bags—we’re going to Mars! Students will discover how the different sciences come together to design modern-day spacesuits. This question and exploration-driven program will explore survival in space focusing on temperature, pressure, oxygen, and mobility.
THE POWER OF LIGHT
Let there be light! This illuminating show shines a spotlight on the electromagnetic spectrum and the power of light. Students will explore forms of energy, properties of light, and the science behind color.
THERMAL REACTIONS
This explosive show presents matter and energy in a unique way. Students will see firsthand how matter changes when we add and remove extreme amounts of heat. The program covers states of matter, basic behavior of atoms and molecules, physical and chemical changes of matter, and more!

Family Science Nights
Family Science Night events are designed for 200 people. Up to 500 attendees can be accommodated at an additional cost. Participating schools must provide staff and adult volunteers to run the stations. Museum staff will set up, train, and assist through the evening.
Pricing: $500 for up to 200 attendees and an additional $50 per each additional 50 attendees.

BODY SYSTEMS FAMILY SCIENCE NIGHT (NEW! Available starting October 2024)
Paging all aspiring doctors! Come to this science night and learn about the human body — STAT! Activities will explore several organ systems, such as the circulatory, skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and digestive systems.
EARTH AND SPACE FAMILY SCIENCE NIGHT
Three, two, one … blastoff! Launch into learning about our planet, solar system, and universe. Activities will explore weather and landforms, rockets and rovers, the possibility of life on other planets, and so much more.
PEROT MUSEUM EXHIBITS FAMILY SCIENCE NIGHT
Looking for a unique STEM experience for the whole family? We have that! Learn about everything from cell biology to sports medicine and more with activities exploring content featured in each Perot Museum exhibit hall.
SUPERHERO ACADEMY FAMILY SCIENCE NIGHT
No cape needed for this superhero training session! Activities will explore the science behind super powers such as super strength, invisibility, and X-ray vision. Visit every station to become a science superhero!

Checklist
- Please fill out a campus outreach request form at least 30 days in advance of your desired program date to be considered for a reservation.
- Full payment is due 30 days before your visit.
- Watch for an email from your assigned educator(s) 1-2 weeks before your program date!

Day of Your Program
In addition to the information below, Museum staff will provide more details prior to the day of your program(s).
Hands-on Labs
The presenter will arrive on your campus about 30-45 minutes before the first program. If booking multiple programs, please allow 15 minutes in-between programs for the presenter to clean up and reset the activities.
Program requirements:
- Classroom (some programs will require sink access for program and cleanup)
- Students need to be seated at tables or desks arranged into groups/stations
- A teacher from the school must remain with the class for the duration of the program.
Science on Stage
The presenter will arrive on your campus 1 hour before the first program to set up materials and will need about 30 minutes to break down materials after the last program.
Program requirements:
- Auditorium, cafeteria, or gymnasium (no classrooms or libraries). Room must have high ceilings and at least 15’ between the equipment and the audience and must be indoors.
- Ceilings should be high enough to blow up a balloon filled with hydrogen gas without catching anything on fire or setting off sprinklers.
- Three 6 foot tables and access to one electrical outlet is required.
- Teachers from the school must remain in the auditorium with their students for the duration of the program.
- Two microphones are appreciated.
Family Science Nights
Two museum staff members will be the event managers and will bring all of the supplies you will need for up to the requested number of participants, set up each station, provide training for the volunteers on their respective station, and remove everything at the end of the evening. The museum staff will arrive at your campus 60-90 minutes before the event starts to set up the stations. 30 minutes before the event begins, volunteers should report to their stations for training
Program requirements:
- One large indooor space (gymnasium or cafeteria preferred)
- 11 tables, 2-3 trashcans
- At least 10 teacher/parent volunteers (20 is preferred). If you are short volunteers, this may affect the number of stations. Museum staff will arrive 60-90 minutes before the event to set up
- Access to water and electricity
Please note that if your reservation is for additional participants (more than 200), it can be extremely helpful to provide extra volunteers and tables to help manage crowding at each station.
